This book is a complementary work to the Standards Guide; it describes many tips, helps you to remember many important standards, and provides you the sense of the exam. Passing the PfMP® exam the first time, can be achieved through a definition of a strong proven study plan, highlighting the areas that you should consider and hold in mind, finding easy ways and rules to remember them, and paving the road to select the right answer, after understanding a lot to questions’ tips. Some information should be held in mind, especially in the process input, output, and tools, but most of us found these as difficult to remember. So, this book visualizes this information on some tables and tries to derive some simple rules to make it easier for you to memorize. Furthermore, there are a lot of tips and two set of exams; 170 questions each, with enough explanation for finding the right answer. This technique makes you more ready for the exam and more acquainted with the expected tricks. This book is different from others as it was created by the author who passed the PfMP® exam after the pilot period was finished, and the exam became mature enough to continue with the same skeleton. So, it reflects the flavor of the questions that you are going to see on the exam today. Besides, it covers different examples of each type of the commonly found questions on the current PfMP® exam model; including regular question, table question, and question set. As a portfolio manager, your practical experience will help you a lot to pass the exam, and it is a critical success factor of your readiness to the exam. This book consists of three parts: - Part 1: Standard Book Tips and Exam Techniques Overall Study Plan Common Input / Output Key Deliverables Other Input / Output Tools and Techniques Question Tips Closing - Part 2: Exam 1 (170 Question) Exam 1 – 170 Question Exam 1 – 170 Answer - Part 3: Exam 2 (170 Question) Exam 2 – 170 Question Exam 2 – 170 Answer Please note that each question answer has the following: - Answer choice - Standard Guide Reference: this is referring to “The Standard for Portfolio Management – Third Edition” which is PMI registered book. - Clarification and Tips: this is the most important part of the answer that describes the reasons for selecting the right answer and eliminating the three other choices. - Knowledge Area - Process Group Keep in mind that you will face in the exam 170 questions, you will not be able to detect the Knowledge Area or Process Group for some of them, which make the subject more difficult. So, I recommend that you execute your exercises in a similar environment by going through either Exam (1) or (2) which has 170 questions mixed from the different Knowledge Areas and Process Groups. Going through a group of questions about Strategy and another about Performance,…etc., will not add the same value and will help you to get a wrong indication about your studying level and readiness to enter the exam. But, if you still need to go through questions for a particular Knowledge Area, there is a field with each question answer that specify the name of the related Knowledge Area.
